I have worked with Matthew and Clayton at Rolling Stone Landscaping and Paving Centre in Hopton, near Diss, since my very first solo landscaping jobs and I value their service hugely. Working with trusted, local suppliers is a core element of my business: despite the nature of the internet and e-commerce in the supply of goods I still place huge value on the importance of trust, loyalty and working together with those in your community. After all, a rising tide lifts all ships.
With this in mind, after years of them working hard to facilitate my projects, I was able to change things around and work for them for a change in completing the redevelopment of their primary display garden and regeneration of the majority of their outdoor paving displays.
The display garden is a compact concept garden for a small courtyard utilising exclusively Global Stone products with which I have a long history of happily working. This could work either as someone’s sole outdoor space or as part of a larger garden but is centred on having space to relax and entertain as well as being able to curate an outdoor space to match the tastes and textures of any interior decor. This space is designed to feel like a room, a true extension of the inside space of a house – and with a covered bar area, fire bowl area, fountain and space for planting and “set-dressing” this small space packs a punch.
The display areas highlight many of Rolling Stone’s premier products and were a good opportunity to show my ability to lay everything from porcelain to limestone, cobbles to slabs.
